Privacy Policy

Natty or Bust ("we," "us") is an independent, fan-made browser game. We try to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the site you agree to this policy.

What we collect

• Your email address — only if you choose to give it. After a perfect 15–0 season you can optionally enter your email to join the "Wall of Champions." This is entirely voluntary; you can play the entire game, win included, without ever providing it. If you submit it, we also store the winning roster you built.
• Basic, anonymous usage data. Our host and (if enabled) a privacy-friendly analytics tool may record aggregate information such as page views, country, device type, and referring site. This is not used to identify you personally.

We do not collect your name (unless it's in your email), payment information, precise location, or any sensitive personal data. The game stores your sound/mode preferences locally in your own browser; that data never leaves your device.

How we use it

• To contact you about leaderboards, new features, or new eras — only if you opted in with your email.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the game is used so we can improve it.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address. Ever.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site:

• Netlify — hosts the site and processes the optional champion form submissions on our behalf.
• An email/analytics provider (if and when enabled) — to send opted-in emails and measure aggregate traffic.

These providers only process data to provide their service to us, under their own privacy terms.

Cookies & local storage

The game itself uses your browser's local storage to remember preferences (like whether sound is on). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If analytics is enabled, it may set a privacy-respecting cookie or none at all.

Your choices

• Don't share: simply don't enter your email — the game works fully without it.
• Unsubscribe: every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Access or delete: email us and we'll provide or delete the data associated with your address.

Children

This game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the site.
